Indulgent: The Chocolate Moelleux

120g of dark chocolate

75g of butter

90g of self-rising flour

4 eggs

1 sachet of baking powder




  1. Heat your oven to 180C
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix the egg yolks, flour, sugar, and baking powder and the melted chocolate and butter
  4. Whisk the egg whites until they form peaks and add them to the mixture. Stir until the colour of mixture becomes uniform
  5. Pour the mixture into a buttered mould
  6. Cook for 30 min


Best served with ice cream.

Tip: Cut the cake into equal pieces while it is still hot and keep them into a closed container to keep it moelleux.
